Etta is preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Pearlie Mae Davis; father, Nathaniel Casher; sister, Lillian Mickles.
She leaves to cherish her memories: sons, James B. (Tiffany) Bradley of Pflugerville, TX and Ronald A. (Ardetha) Bradley of Douglasville, GA; sister, Henrietta Ross of Mobile, AL; grandchildren Kourtney J. Bradley, Myles D. Bradley, Kevin E. Thompson, Ronald T. Bradley, Jairyn T. Bradley, Madison A. Bradley, and Kaya J. Bradley; host of nieces, nephews, family, and special friends.
She was baptized at an early age and was an active member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran church for over 65 years - serving in capacities that included Superintendent of Sunday School, Chorus, LWML, and many more missions. She was a 1963 graduate of Williamson High School and the first African American dispatcher for the Mobile Police Department (from which she retired after 28 years of service).
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 1-8pm at Small's Mortuary, 950 S. Broad St., Mobile, AL; Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 1660 Dominick Street, Mobile, AL 36605.
