SHAFFER, Howard Stephen "Steve"- age 69 of Lebanon passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016. He was preceded in death by father, Howard Shaffer and father-in-law, Ivan Butler. Mr. Shaffer is survived by wife of 36 years, Cindy Shaffer; son, Kyle Shaffer and fiancé Jessica Chew; daughter Katie Shaffer and fiancé Bryan Sams; brother, Kevin (Lynn) Shaffer of IL; grandchildren, Natalie Shaffer, Nathan Sams, Courtney & Christina Sams; nieces and nephews and other loving family members. Mr. Shaffer was a member of West Hills Baptist Church and a graduate of UT Martin where he obtained a BS in Education. He worked in Quality Control with Lux, John Deal Coatings and CSC. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel with Bro. Donald Owens officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel and again on Friday one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Gideons International. Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mr. Shaffer's Men's Sunday School Class at West Hills Baptist Church.
