Michelle Lynn Schmidt, was born June 23, 1980, in Portsmouth, Virginia, and departed this life on March 26, 2016 in the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff Missouri. She had attained the age of thirty-five years, nine months, and three days. Michelle had resided in Van Buren, Missouri most all of her life. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. She was a hard worker, a sweet loving person who was often quite soft spoken. She was a very devoted mother and wife. She enjoyed the outdoors, spending time on Current River and camping. Michelle was united in marriage to Robert Wayne Schmidt on July 10, 1999 in Ellsinore Missouri. Survivors include, her husband Robert Schmidt of Van Buren; one son Riley Schmidt of Van Buren; one daughter Rebecca Schmidt of Van Buren; father James Huffman of Carrollton, VA; mother Shelley Huffman of Ellsinore; paternal grandparents James and Joyce Huffman of Ellsinore; maternal grandmother Dorothy Pyatt of Ellsinore; one brother James Huffman of Ellsinore; one sister Crystal Hawkins and husband Eric Hawkins of Van Buren; five nephews Tyler Dowdy, Ronnie Dowdy, Zack Dowdy, Mike Huffman, Calvin Huffman and many friends who mourn her passing. The visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, in the McSpadden Funeral Home in Van Buren, with the funeral services beginning at 10:00 a.m. Thursday March 31, 2016, in the funeral home chapel. Burial: Yount Memorial Cemetery in Garwood, Missouri.
