Nancy Ann Burgess, 81, of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, Mar. 26,2016 at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital in Winchester.

She was born on Jan. 3,1935 in Centerville, to George L. and Ethel (Blue) Mervin. She attended Cambridge City High School and had retired from the Chicken Shack restaurant in Winchester. She was a member of the Main Street Christian Church in Winchester, where she was involved with the Mary Martha Circle, the Christian Women's Fellowship and the church's outreach service. She was an avid reader and volunteered her time at the Randolph Nursing Home. Nancy loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her children, a daughter, Nancy (Leon) McCormick of Lynn, a son, David Burgess of Douglasville, GA, a daughter, Mary (Mark) Anderson of Lynn and a son, Charles (Nicole) Burgess of Buchanan, MI; five grandchildren, Jamie (Keith) Maloy, Jennifer (Randy) Armonett, Travis Burgess, Courtney Anderson (Tyler Edwards) and Courtney (Jeremy) Garcia; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert D. Burgess.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 30,2016 at 11 a.m. at the Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester with Pastor Cecil Cook officiating.

Friends and relatives may call from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at Walker Funeral Home in Winchester.
