Taylor LeAnn Carter,18,of DeWitt,died Friday at DeWitt.She was born Sept.6th,1988,a daughter of David Carter of Branson ,Mo., and Sheila Aycock Adams of DeWitt.She was a senior at Gillett High School and had been a cheerleader for three years on the junior team and three years on the Senior team.She was also UCLA All Star Cheerleader.She was a member of the softball team and was named All District two years and All Star catcher one year.She was a member of FBLA and attended the First Baptist Church at DeWitt.Other survivors include her step-father,Allen Adams of Dewitt;step-mother,Linda Carter of Branson,Mo;maternal grandfather,Parson Aycock of Columbia,La;maternal grandmother,Kay Kilburn of Dumas;and paternal grandparents D.H. and Mary Lynn Carter of Dumas.Funeral services were held at 2p.m. Tuesday,October 3rd at the Gillett High School Gym with the Revs.Andy Avery and Joe Johnson officiating.Burial is in Hearns Cemetery at DeWitt by Griffin Funeral Home of Dumas.Visitation was held,Monday from 2p.m to 4p.m.Ocotber 2,2006 at First Christian Church at DeWitt.Memorials may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
