He was born on April 17, 1951, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, a son to the late Carl Sparks and the late Lois Marie (Belfield) Sparks. On July 12, 1997, Roger was united in marriage to Maggie Diane (Winick) Sparks in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
Roger is survived by his beloved wife: Maggie Diane Sparks of Potosi; three step-sons: Arnold Pashea and wife Tera, Joey Pashea and wife Nickole, Keith Pashea and wife Michaela - all of Potosi; mother-in-law: Goldie Marie Harr of Potosi; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law: Rodney Nelson and wife Marilyn, Norman Nelson and wife Jamie, Terry Nelson and wife Rhonda, and Nancy Finchem - all of Potosi; and also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his son: Damian Alexander Sparks; step-son: Orville Pashea; brother-in-law: Johnny Nelson; and sister-in-law: Pamela Nelson.
