Christopher C Lynn Sr, 77, of Danville RD 4, died in the Geisinger Medical Center at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon after a brief illness. He had been hospitalized for four days.
Death was due to complications.
Mr. Lynn was born on July 27, 1885 in Salem Township, Luzerne County. He was a son of the late Silas and Emily Edwards Lynn. His death severs a martial union of 60 years.
Mr. Lynn, a highly respected resident of Montour County, was a retired employee of the Kennedy Van Saun Manufacturing and Engineering Corporation. He operated the Sea-Food Inn on Bloom Road for 25 years and served as school director for several terms. He was a member of the Ridgeville United Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, the former Martha Cain; six sons: Walter and Ralph, Danville; Harry, Riverside; Woodrow, Danville RD4; Thomas, Berwyn Illinois; and Christopher Lynn Jr, Danville RD 4. One sister: Mrs. Fanny Lanning, Berwick; a brother: Joseph Lynn, Berwick; five daughters: Mrs. Frank Hendricks, Riverside; Edith Heimbach, Bloomsburg; Mrs. Frank Cotner, Washingtonville; Mrs. Fred N. Bower, Milton RD; and Mrs James Strausser, Milton RD; thrirty-one grandchildren; and forty great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral rites will be held in the William H. Fermier Funeral Home, Walnut Street, Danville, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Forrest L. Gass, pastor of the Ridgeville church, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Danville.
