Lewis L. Wheeler Jr. of Bushwood, Maryland and Palm Bay, FL died at his home in Bushwood, MD on September 30, 2006. He was 56 years old.
Born on July 4, 1950 in Washington, DC, the son of the late Marguerite D. and Lewis L. Wheeler Sr., a Navy Brat, Mr. Wheeler moved with his parents to Illinois, Rhode Island, Texas, then to Golden Beach, MD. He served in the U. S. Army during Vietnam and was Honorably Discharged at the rank of Sergeant. Mr. Wheeler was employed as a Mechanical Engineer with the U. S. Department of Justice in Washington, DC until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, hunting and collecting coins.
He is survived by his daughter Lauren Elizabeth Wheeler of Orlando, FL; sons Lewis L. Wheeler III and his wife Mellisa Sue of Bushwood, MD, Brian Lee Wheeler and his wife Angela Roxanne of Sanford, FL and Michael Wayne Wheeler of Palm Bay, FL; sisters Constance Ruth Merendino of Bushwood, MD and Janice Lynn Carswell of Crofton, MD; brothers Harry James Wheeler of Bushwood, MD, James Michael Wheeler of Bushwood, MD and John Wayne Wheeler of Great Mills, MD; grandchildren Jacob Ryan Wheeler, Lindsay Grace Wheeler, Dakota Hale Shadley and Sarah Elizabeth Wheeler.
Family to receive friends on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Rd. Charlotte Hall, MD where Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 11AM with the Reverend Dale Skurla officiating. Interment to follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Cheltenham, Maryland.
