Paul D. Hodges, 71 of Jesup, Ga. died Sunday, March 27, 2016 at his residence after an extended illness. The Wayne County, Ga. native was a charter member of Grace Assembly of God and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was retired from the Wayne County Road Department and enjoyed fishing. He was predeceased by his parents, W.S. and Louise Hodges; a sister, Patsy Ann Brooker.

Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Shelia Boutaugh Hodges of Jesup, Ga.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Christina and Blake McIlwain of Houston, Tx., Jessica and Richard Herrin of Adel, Ga.; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Shannon and Christine Hodges of Jesup, Ga., Joshua and Penny Hodges of Blackshear, Ga., Jeremy and Dana Hodges of Jesup, Ga.; several grandchildren; a sister, Martha Helms of Milledgeville, Ga.; 6 brothers, James, Vernon and Gary Hodges, all of Jesup, Ga., Roland Hodges of Loganville, Ga., Allen Hodges of Bloomingdale, Ga. and Timmy Hodges of Canton, Ga.; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 3 P.M. Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Grace Assembly of God with Rev. Dale Bange and Rev. Harris Nix officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 P.M. prior to services at the church.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
