Sally Irene Jenkins passed away on March 24, 2016 surrounded by her family.

She was born in Buffalo, NY to the late R. George and Irene Kaminsky. A graduate of the University of Buffalo, Sally spent her career as a Registered Medical Technologist in Buffalo and the Medical Center of Delaware. After her retirement, she volunteered at Christiana Hospital's Cardiac Research Department and at the information desk at Crozer Chester Medical Center. She enjoyed playing the flute, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Francis E. Jenkins, her twin sister, Suzanne Kaminsky and her brother, George Kaminsky. She is survived by her son, George T. Jenkins (Cherie) her daughters, Sally Jenkins-Redgrave (Owen), Suzanne Hefton (Harry), Mimi Picollelli (Michael) and Irene Mosvold, her grandchildren, Thomas, Kelsey, James, Josh, Katie, Michael (Sarah),Chris, Elyse, Tara, Gillian, Alexis and Erik (Kelly) and her great-children, Madison and Archer.

Sally's family wish to thank Dr. Matthew Rubino and the staff of the Medical Center of Delaware at both the Wilmington and Christiana Hospital for the extraordinary care that they provided to Sally.

Friends may call on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday March 30th at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Helen Graham Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Newark, DE. 19713.
