Obituary-William S Preston 77 of Oak Bluffs, MA, formerly of New York City, on February 25, 1993 of complications of a stroke he suffered last June. Husband of Frances Preston, son of the late Thomas B. Preston and Gertrude W. Preston. Also predeceased by his brother, Paul (i.e.: Charles Paul Preston) and his half brothers, Norman and Thomas. Retired in 1980 as president of Preston Advertising Inc. of New York. Received the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart of his service with the U. S. Army's Second Armored Division in North Africa and Europe during World War II. In accordance with his wishes no funeral was held. A memorial gathering will be held in the Vineyard in the spring.
