Services for Laura L. Lestico of Glencoe were held Saturday, Jan. 5, 1985, at two o’clock from the Johnson McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe.
Officiating was Rev. Paul Seburg of Peace United Church of Christ of Glencoe. The organist was Mrs. Marie Eischens and the soloist was Ms. Shari Eischens. Music selections were “How Great Thou Art” and “What A Friend We Have In Jesus.”
Spring interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Glencoe, MN.
Laura Lena Lestico was born in McLeod County, February 8, 1890 to Gustav and Amelia (Fredericks) Tessmer. Laura Lestico had grown up in the McLeod County area and spent most of her life here.
She was united in marriage to Otto Lestico at Stewart, MN. and they were blessed with one son, Raymond. Laura had been employed at the McLeod County Courthouse for many years. She had also been active in the Peace United Church of Christ. She had been the organist for many years and she also sang in the choir.
Mrs. Lestico died January 3, 1985 at the age of 94-years, 10-months and 25-days. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto in 1948; also by her brothers, Arthur and Otto Tessmer and by her sister, Mrs. Emma Thurston.
Laura Lestico is survived by her son, Raymond of Minneapolis, and by her grandchildren, Mrs. Patricia Estabrook (husband, Darrel) of Chardon, Ohio, Michael of Palm Desert, CA, and Mitchell (wife, Douc) of Oregon, Wisc.
