He was born in Floyd County to the late Gilbert Roberson and the late Jessie Cornwell Roberson. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist and was a gifted musician who was associated with several Gospel groups, playing guitar in many churches and concerts. For many years, he had owned and operated Roberson Paint and Body Shop. Billy was married to Christine Brumbelow Roberson, who preceded him in death and later was married to Rachel Louise Roberson, who also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 2pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Park.
