Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gallant Cemetery for Sandra Jean Cagle, 60, Gallant, who died Monday, July 12, 2004. The Revs. Robert McClung and Carl Pierce will officiate. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory directing.
Mrs. Cagle was of the Baptist faith. She also worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. for 15 years. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sadie Green. Mrs. Cagle was fondly known as Aunt “Cot Cot” to her nieces and nephews. Her favorite pastime was taking her grandsons fishing. She was rich in that she would give away what she had to others. Her heart and hands were always open, leaving many friends to cherish her memory.
She is survived by her daughters, Connie (Lewayne) Wilkerson, Gallant, and Carla (Taylor) Crowe, Keener; grandchildren, Wesley and Austin (Bubba) Wilkerson, Gallant, and Grant Crowe, Keener; parents, Bud and Ovella Gilliland, Gallant; sisters, Sara McAfee, Snead, and Sally Hathcock, Glencoe; brother, Stanley Gilliland, Glencoe; special brother-in-law, Thomas Green, Gallant; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friends, Lousie Ivey and Brenda Estes.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Special thanks to Gwen Lutes Cromer.
The family will receive friends after the graveside service in the fellowship hall at Gallant First Baptist Church.
