ALLEN, Merle Bradford - 91, Ford Avenue, Yarmouth, died February 21, 2005, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth, he was a son of the late Bradford A. and Elva (Hamilton) Allen. He owned and operated Quality Bakery for 12 years until 1949. He was a former employee of International Harvesters Farm Machinery. He was also employed with Motor Mart until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, the former Yvonne Winchester; daughter, Ruthie (Mrs. Kevin Hamilton), Yarmouth; son, Gary (Noella), South Ohio, Yarmouth Co.; brothers, David, Kamloops, B.C.; Gilbert, Alberta; sister, Joyce Brannen, Toronto, Ont.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Gladys E.; son, Reigh; sisters, Marjorie and Gretchen; brothers, Clarence, Donald, Bruce, Roger. The body is resting in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Yarmouth, where visiting hours will be 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday in Zion Baptist Church, Yarmouth, Rev. Brian Wallace officiating. Spring burial in Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery.
