Loretta Cunningham, 94, Woonsocket, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at Avera Weskota Memorial Center, Wessington Springs.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Wilfrid's Catholic Church, Woonsocket, with the Rev. Jim Friedrich officiating. Burial will be in St. Wilfrid's Catholic Cemetery, Woonsocket.
There will be a 7:30 p.m. prayer service today at Basham Funeral Chapel, Woonsocket.
She was born on Oct. 7, 1915, in Letcher to John and Celina (Metzinger) VandeVoorde.
On Jan. 4, 1932, she married Robert Cunningham in Artesian.
They worked together, painting and shingling around the community.
She is survived by a son, Robert and Ruth Cunningham, Mitchell; a daughter, Carole Funk and husband Lowell, Woonsocket; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Ann Wacker, Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Cleone Fenske and husband Ervin; her parents, her stepfather, a sister, Marie; and a brother, Sylvester.
