She was born November 27, 1925 in Dolphin at her grandmother’s farm.
Her parents were Herman and Rena Jones Daniel, of Cochran. She attended Pan American Business School in Richmond.
She married William Herbert Griffin on November 27, 1945.
She was an active church worker at Reedy Creek Baptist Church from 1946 up to her death.
She organized the first Vacation Bible School and taught Adult Sunday School for over 45 years. Katherine loved her flower gardens. She was a past President and member of the Town and Country Garden club.
She hosted the “Hale Family Reunion” for over 50 years until 2010. Katherine loved to travel with her sister and niece. She was a member of the Sunshine group at Liberty Church, Virginia Rambles and the Senior Circle.
She enjoyed traveling to ballgames and getting children off the school bus.
Katherine was a truly “Southern Lady”. She never met a stranger and loved to talk to all. She was the perfect example of a “Farmers Wife” loved by all who came here.
