Alan passed away as a result of cancer from exposure to Agent Orange at the John L. McClellan VA Hospital in Little Rock, AR.

He was born December 8, 1948 in Marvell AR. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Mary Alice Bonner Williford. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Reta Lott Higginbotham, two sisters: Mary Jon (Frank) Baker; Kay (Don) McGee both of Lakeland, FL and nieces Meradith McGee Hale, Lynn Baker Ritter and nephew, Greg Baker and a host of cousins, in-laws and friends.

Alan graduated from Marvell High School and afterwards served his country in the US Air Force. His work in the cable TV industry, took he and Reta on a perpetual vacation all over the United States.

His favorite past time was fishing and hunting and entertaining his family and friends with his exploits. He was a gifted poet and writer who also collected banks. His greatest regret was that he did not save his childhood Davy Crockett bank, his Red Rider BB gun and Robby the Robot.

Home is the hunter from the woods, the fisherman from the stream and the beloved husband, brother and uncle from those who will hold his memory so dear.
