Burkhardt, Dean C. Saline, MI Age 82, passed away October 2, 2006. He was born on January 22, 1924, the son of Alwin R. and Lina A. (Bredernitz) Burkhardt. He was a 1941 graduate of Saline High School. Dean served three years during WW-II as a high speed Morse code radio operator, initially with the Army Signal Corps. For the final seven months he was attached to the Navy in the Pacific Theater as a radioman aboard a destroyer. On September 20, 1947, he married Agnes Wallo in Saline and she survives. Upon graduating from Cleary Business College in 1947, he was employed by Hoover Ball and Bearing Company in Ann Arbor, MI. After a 32 year career in which the company grew from a single location to over 60 locations in the United States, Canada, England and Spain, he retired from Hoover Universal Inc. on January 31, 1980 as its Corporate Controller. In addition to his wife, Agnes, of 59 years, survivors include: one daughter, Sharon (Matthew) Mischakoff of Saline, one son, Glenn (Cindy) Burkhardt of Clinton, grandsons, Derek (Samantha) McGill, Sean McGill, Ian (Jamie) Charles, Leonard (Jennifer) Hackett Jr., Alex Hacket and Landon Burkhardt; granddaughter, Amber Bukhardt; step-grand-daughters, Marah (Patrick Avallone) Mischakoff, Veronica (Tim) Malinczak and Valerie Wahl; step-grandson, Joseph Wahl; great-grandsons, Jared McGill, Easton Charles and Waylon Charles; step-great-grandson, Caleb Mischakoff; great granddaughter, Natalie McGill; step-great-grand-daughter, Hailey Malinczak; sister, Della Sell; three sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Pamela Ann (Leonard) Hackett and brother-in-law, Robert Sell.
