She was a devoted mother, wonderful wife, superb corporate wife, entertainer and a "people" person. Mrs. Mell was an elementary school teacher, teaching the third grade for many years. She was also a church worker and Sunday school teacher.
She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, James R. Mell; daughters, Elizabeth Stalker of Lawrenceville, GA and Shirley Mell of Atlanta, granddaughters, Cherie Atkinson of Belding, MI, Tamie Schwenk of Raleigh, NC and Amanda Cambre of Austin, TX; and four great-grandchildren, Austin, Jocelyn, and Timmy DuBose and Dakota Atkinson.
Funeral services will be held at 1PM Thursday, Mar 1. in the chapel of AS Turner & Sons. Rev. Mark Sargent will officiate. Interment will be at Westview Cemetery.
