Jaquita Jane Cooper Edney, 73, passed away Wednesday evening, March 23, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center.
She was born April 12, 1942, in Pulaski County, VA, to the late Merit and Peggy Howe Cooper. Jaquita worked for General Electric until 1972. She was a stock advisor for many people, wrote newspaper columns, and designed radio electronics. Jaquita was an extensive traveler, and in her lifetime, visited twenty-six countries.
In addition to her parents, Jaquita was preceded in death by her sister: Marie Craig, her brother: Merit Cooper, Jr., and granddaughter: Brandie Nicole Roberson.
A 2:00pm graveside service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin, VA, with Mr. David Edney officiating.
Jaquita is survived by her loving husband of fifty-six years: Raymond Edney, two children: Ginger Roberson (Wade) and Tracy Hall (Steve), sister: Ellen Carty, brother: Gary Cooper (Peggy), three grandchildren: Tyler Mabe (Laura), Chandler Hall, and Bryson Hall, and great granddaughter: Emery Jane Mabe.
