Wesley C. Douglas Jr., 71, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014 in Orange Park, FL. He was born February 8, 1943 to Wesley and Vivian Douglas Sr., in Jacksonville, FL. Due to health problems Wes was unable to work for many years and filled his time and heart with his beloved animals. His parents, Wesley and Vivian Douglas, Sr. precede him in death. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Debbie Ellis Douglas, two sons, Wesley Warren Douglas, Jarrod Ellis (Amberly) Douglas, two daughters, Vivian Michelle (Lanita) Douglas, Sonya Melissa (Bernie) Hulse, two brothers Lacy Alvin Douglas, Clinton Hugh (Mary) Douglas, one sister Vera Douglas Addy, five grandchildren, Ginger Michelle Hulse, Richard Bernard Hulse, Brittney Lehelen Rayfield, Katherine Melissa Douglas, Kaylee Ann Douglas, and one great-grandchild, Colton Wayne Phillips. Arrangements under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 11:00am in the chapel with interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Jacksonville Humane Society, 8464 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32216.
