Harold was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold and Catherine Sullivan; Loving and Devoted husband of 70 years to Marie Lalicato; a father to Patricia Soprano; a protective brother to Eleanor O'Donnell, Edwin Sullivan and Thomas Sullivan, a grandfather of Lisa Sue Bennett, Christopher Soprano, Steven Charles Soprano and Mark Soprano; great grandfather of Noella Rose Luciotti, a wonderful uncle and cousin, and a great friend to many.
Proudly serving his cointry during WW II as a Seaman First Class of the US Coast Guard, Harold was awarded one service star to the Asia-Pacific Campaign, participated in the invasion of Hollandia, Wake, Biak and the Phillipine Island, as well as being stationed in New Guinea and Brisbane, Austraila.
He was employed by The American Can Company for 28 years as a machinist/mechanic and for the Department of Public Works in Jersey City. He was a member of the Steelworkers Union, Vice Commander of American Legion, a leader for the American Federation of Labor for the Federal Labor Union.
Harold was a veracious reader and a gregarious man of many stories. A man who was in many bowling leagues. A man with an inquisitive mind which led him to love learning about everything, especially the people he met. An athletic man who cared about nutrution and fitness. A dedicated family man who valued spending ample amount of time with each and every person. A man who valued every experience, every moment and every person who came across his path. Harold was a man of many words and life experiences. He has shown and provided his family the love, compassion, dedication and sacrifice a person should have. He has taught many life lessons in his 92 years, and for that he will forever be remembered as a wonderful man. In his words, "Keep the Faith".
