Robert M. Hudspeth, 76, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016. The family will receive friends at a catered reception from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at Hernando Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hernando Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Longtown Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Lanelle Hudspeth; daughter, Susan Hellums (Jackie) of Hernando; son, Robert Allen Hudspeth (Tracy) of Tunica; sisters, Carolyn Word (Excel) of Clarksdale and Beverly Messer of Tunica; brother, James "Jimmy" Hudspeth (Shirley) of Tunica; grandchildren, Suzanne Hellums Burdett (Craig), Michael Hellums and Sydney Hudspeth; great grandchildren, Tabitha Burdett and Robert Jackson "RJ" Burdett. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Syble Hudspeth and a brother, Dewitt Hudspeth.
