Carole S. Treat-Rebert, 76 passed into the glory of God after a brief illness in Clermont FL on March 21, 2016. Born on Oct 24, 1939 in Essex, MD, the daughter of the late George and Edith Schmidt. A 1957 graduate of Morgenthal Vocational School, Baltimore, MD. She attended Penn State University and earn her certificate as a Paralegal and was in that field of work for 45 years. She owned multiple businesses throughout her life; she retired in 2005.
She was an active member of St John Episcopal Church in York, Red Hat Society, Welcome Wagon, and worked tirelessly in fund raising for the Logan Treat Kline Scholarship Fund. Carole really enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and loved to play jokes, and really had the gift to "work the room." She love to read, travel crossword puzzles, sing perform, and she loved her hot tea.
She was preceded in death by her late husband Edwin F. Treat, whom she was married to for almost 41 years, grand son Logan Treat Kline, and brother Robert Schmidt. She is survived by her sons Leonard F. Treat (Sara) of Bloomsburg, PA, Robert F. Treat (Denise) of Etters, PA. Daughters Sylvia J. Stetz (Steven) of Stevensville, MD, Donna Hammen Taylor of Perry Hall, MD, Holly E. Treat-Kline (Christopher) of Red Lion, PA, Edith C. Enfield (fiancé Ray) of Red Lion, PA. Sister Jean Fell (David) of Kent, OH; stepchildren Annette Gingerich (Stephen) of Honolulu, HI, Eric Rebert (Mandi) of York, PA, and Holly Ray (Jarrod) of York, PA.
She also leaves behind 9 grand children: Joseph L. Ruth III, Leonard F. Treat II, JP Taylor, Shanna M. Keckler, Kristina L. Keckler, Nikki Kline, Mallory Kline, Savannah R. Schulz, Tyler S. Enfield, Alexis T. Enfield; great grandchildren: Alexis Shaffer, Cole Shaffer, Caley M. Treat, Katelyn R. Treat, Dalton J. Dellinger, and future great grand daughter Cheyenne L. Coleman, multiple step grand children. And husband John C. Rebert, to whom she has been married to since Sept. 2006, enjoying their "Golden Years" playing golf in FL, traveling, and enjoying each other and their blended families.

Carole was more than a Wife, Mother, Sister, GrandMother, Great GrandMother, she was a friend, and she will forever be loved and greatly missed.
