ZEBULON – Janelle Griffin Vick Brown, 64, died Tuesday.
A native of Nash County she was daughter to the late Jackie O. & Catherine Griffin Vick. She retired from First Citizens Bank after over 35 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother, & sister. She loved her grandchildren more than anything. Janelle was Roger's right arm. She was a fabulous cook and loved by many who will remember her.
She is survived by her husband of over 42 years, Roger Thomas Brown, sons, Jason Brown (Marianna) of Zebulon, Christopher Brown (Christin) of Wendell, brother, Jackie B. Vick (Carolyn) of Dortches, NC, grandchildren, Michael, Griffin, Jackson Brown, and don't forget Fred.
Funeral service 3 pm, Saturday, Zebulon Baptist Church with visitation from 1-3 pm, prior to the service. Burial, Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the WakeMed Children's Hospital or Zebulon Baptist Church Building Fund.
Arrangements are with Strickland Funeral Home, 211 W. Third St., Wendell.
