Wilda Jane Boynton Bluemel Hughes, age 82, passed away March 3, 1993 at a local hospital.
Born February 5, 1911 in Linwood, Utah, the daughter of Joseph Hyrum and Mary Jane Brampton Boynton. Married David Bluemel, marriage solemnized June 15, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died August 13, 1971. Married H. Preston Hughes, September 11, 1982 in the Ogden LDS Temple. Member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, serving as Captain for two years. Active member in the LDS Church, serving in many positions.Survivors include her husband, Preston; brothers, Edwin Boynton, Green River, Wyoming; Dale Boynton, Granbury, Texas; Delbert Boynton, Salt Lake City; and numerous grandchildren, whom she loved very much. Preceded in death by daughter Elaine, father and mother, three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 6, 1993, 1 p.m. in the Bountiful Tabernacle, 50 South Main. Friends may call at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 11:45 to 12:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
