Clyde Melvin Oliver age 75 of Sandy Hook, Kentucky passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016 in Elliott Co.
Mr. Oliver was born January 26, 1941 in Medina, Ohio a son of the late Clyde Martin and Jaley Esta Brickey Oliver.
Clyde was a Christian and saved at Shavers Fork Community Church in West Virginia.
He worked as a Machinist at Manchester tools in Ohio, he was retired from Los Alamos National Laboratories in New Mexico.
Among his many talents he was a private pilot with the Civil Air Patrol in New Mexico, and a truck driver logging many miles.
He also had a great compassion for animals.
He loved spending time with his family, and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and caregiver to his wife Janet. He is now reunited with his loving wife, together, enjoying the splendors of heaven.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Janet Varie Shaver Oliver whom he married on December 18, 1982. One granddaughter; Alexis Marie Knecht; Siblings: William Martin Oliver, Cynthia Violet Oliver Doyle Bailey, Stanley Ford Oliver, and Edith Inez Oliver.
He is survived by his loving children: Clyde Mitchell Oliver, Chrissy Knecht, Lisa Davis, Cathy Hurst, Eric Davis. One sister; Ann Martha Oliver Waddell. Grandchildren; Amber Vaughn, Olivia Davis, Nicholas Barajas, Jeremy Barajas, Jesse Hurst, Stephanie Knecht, Samantha Knecht, Sarah Oliver, Leigha Oliver, Shane Oliver and Ryan Watts. One great granddaughter; Cami Knecht along with a host of extended family members, neighbors and many friends who will sadly mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Shavers Fork Community Church in Braxton County, West Virginia. Burial will follow in the Jacob Shaver Cemetery.
