Mrs. Gladys Emajean McCoy, age 77, of Abingdon, Virginia passed away Thursday (March 24, 2016) in an Abingdon, Virginia healthcare facility. Born April 18, 1938 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late George Fuller, Jr. and Ora Gay Brown Fuller. She was a loving mother and always enjoyed gardening and canning.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Ethel Yarborough; one grandson, Brett Yarborough; five brothers, Raymond Fuller, Ralph Fuller, Eugene Fuller, Donald Fuller and infant, Herman Lee Fuller ; two sisters, Roberta Osborne and infant, Hazel Mae Fuller.
Survivors include one son, Danny McCoy and wife, Stephanie of Abingdon, Virginia; one brother, Delmar Fuller of Honaker, Virginia; one sister, Dorothy Lowe of Corn Valley, Virginia; five granddaughters, Jessica McCoy of Lebanon, Virginia, Mary Long and husband, Brian of Roanoke, Virginia; Tabitha Smith and husband, Ryan of Cleveland, Virginia, Angel Byrd and husband, Jason and Barbara Yarborough both of Coward, South Carolina; one grandson, Shawn Yarborough of Scranton, South Carolina; five great-grandchildren, Myles Blair, Josiah Long, Bryson Yarborough, Catlyn Byrd and Ashlyn Byrd; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Lester officiating. Interment will follow in the Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon, Virginia.
Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6 PM Friday.
