Comedian, Actor. The versatile actor and comedian will best be remembered for his work in 'It's Garry Shandling's Show' and 'The Larry Sanders Show'. In the early 1970s, he moved to Los Angeles and began his career writing for sitcoms such as 'Sanford and Son' and 'Welcome Back, Kotter' before launching a successful career as a stand-up comedian. From 1986 through 1990, he starred in 'It's Garry Shandling's Show', which was nominated for four Emmy Awards. In 1992, he created 'The Larry Sanders Show', which was nominated for 18 Emmy Awards for the show and won a writing award in 1998. Among TV shows he appeared in were 'The Ben Stiller Show', 'Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist', 'Caroline in the City', 'The X-Files' and 'Tom Goes to the Mayor', and would host 'Saturday Night Live', 'The Grammy Awards Show' and the 'Primetime Emmy Awards' several times. Among films he appeared in were 'The Night We Never Met' (1993), 'Mixed Nuts' (1994), 'Dr. Dolittle' (1998), 'What Planet Are You From?' (1998), 'Zoolander' (2001), 'Trust the Man' (2005), 'Iron Man 2' (2010) and 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' (2014).
