Andrew Dennis Peyton was born on June 12, 1860 in Tennessee, the son of Thomas Donnell Peyton (1831–1924) and Mary Elizabeth (Sanders) Peyton (1833–1920). [Andrew was born almost right after the taking of the 1860 census.]
He was married about 1883 to Willie S Bell (1858-1938), the daughter of Major Robert Bell and Sarah (Ferguson) Bell. According to the 1900 and 1910 censuses, Andrew and Willie had no children.
A merchant living at 2001 Eastland Avenue, Nashville, Andrew was 61 years old and married when he died at home on December 22, 1920 of lobar pneumonia. Burial was the next day in Spring Hill Cemetery.
