The funeral was July 17 at 1 p.m. at Sandy Ridge Baptist, Rev. W.H. Sturdivant officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hardie Royal, Sr.; nine siblings; a daughter, Nora Lee; a son, Hardie Royal, Jr.; and a grandson, Conrad Sturdivant.
