Christopher Steven
Boteler Stovall
1993-2016

Christopher Steven Boteler Stovall, 22, of Crestview, Florida, won his long battle with Cystic Fibrosis on March 23, 2016.

Christopher was born on June 5, 1993 at Dyess AFB, Texas, to Robert W. and Charlotte Boteler Stovall. In 1994 he moved to Crestview, Florida where he lived for 21 years and graduated from Rocky Bayou Christian School in 2013. Christopher loved to laugh, joke and just have a good time; never met a stranger and liked making new friends and just hanging out when he could. He loved to play soccer but bowling was his passion and he was a member at Shoal River Bowling Center where he started bowling at a young age.

Besides his parents, Christopher leaves his heart, soul and memories to his sister, Sarah E. Stovall; maternal grandmother, Marie E. Boteler; paternal grandmother, Charlotte B. Stovall; aunts, Sharon M. Godwin (Robert), Theresa A. Stickland (David), Debra S. Zimmerman (Paul), an Uncle, Donald F. Boteler; cousins, Jennifer Ollom (Jay), Michael Strickland, Matthew Godwin, Nicole Gass (Kenny), Kara Curlin (Rob), David Zimmerman (Christine) and Will Zimmerman (Chrissy); as well as many other g-aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was met on the other side by his maternal grandfather, Donald F. Boteler; paternal grandfather, William A. Stovall, his uncle, David B. Strickland and cousin, Kathryn A. Strickland.

A special thank you to the team at Eglin AFB who never gave up; the staff at Specialty Care Hospital, Pensacola, who gave him such comfort in his final month and to Christopher's friend, Genny Mason, who sat with him and made him smile, laugh as well as conversation and comfort. He loved her for being there for him and his family thanks her for being such a great friend.

Christopher will be cremated and his ashes brought home to his family. Per his request, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This obituary was written by me, his mother.
