He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Wilkes and Mary Edna Jones Wilkes.
Mr. Wilkes is survived by his wife, Gayle L. Wilkes; a son, Anthony R. Wilkes; a daughter, Beth Wilkes Wilkerson (Darrell); sisters, Mary Lawson (Jerry) and Edna Smith; grandchildren, Joshua Wilkes, Heather Price, and Heidi Wilkerson; two great-grandchildren
