Terry L. Gardner, 79 of Union, Mich., passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at his home.
He was born March 5, 1937 in Elkhart to Dale and Elizabeth (Schuster) Gardner. He married Linda D. Bailey on Oct. 6, 1962 in Bristol. She survives along with 2 sons, Paul (Tammy) Gardner of Edwardsburg and Doug (Amy) Gardner of Bristol; 4 grandchildren, Alex, Anna, Kayla and Erica; a sister, Donna (Jesse) Rex of Bristol and a brother David Gardner. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Alan Gardner.
Terry graduated from Elkhart High School in 1955 and retired as maintenance supervisor for Victorian Homes. He had previously worked for Stewart Coach Co.
He attended Bristol United Methodist Church and was a Boy Scout Leader for Troop #599 in Union. Terry and Bud Hermance assembled the ground fireworks for the Bristol Homecomings. He loved Silver Lake and driving dune buggies.
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday, March 25th at Bristol United Methodist Church and an hour prior to services at 10:30 am Saturday at the church. Rev. Fred Stayton will officiate. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.
