B. F. Moore. Committed by M. C. Blake Probate Judge of San Francisco December 22nd 1865. Age 45 years; native of Alabama; married and has two children, the youngest four years old; was last from Texas; occupation, lawyer. The evidence of insanity is, trying to kill himself; fears starvation of himself and family; fears that his best friends are his worst enemies & etc.; has attempted to kill himself and is probably somewhat inclined to injure others. This attack appeared three months ago, it became marked and appeared to some extent for months before; this is not the first; disease increasing; is generally rational on many subjects; is neither filthy nor destructive; has no insane relations so far as known; was very sensitive and peculiar in many respects; has failed in physical health to some extent; cause of insanity, dyspepsia (impaired digestion); class, incipient mania - no treatment. Admitted December 23rd 1865. Friends will pay. Died January 2nd 1866 of uremic poison, consequent upon disease of the kidneys - those organs being incapable of performing their functions.
