"Mrs. J.E. Mount, aged eighty-three years, died suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Standiford, in the west part of the city, Friday morning at one o’clock. Her death was due to pneumonia.
She was found ill Thursday morning by neighbors and a physician summoned, but she was beyond medical aid. Wednesday, she was seen by her neighbors about the place. Her daughter was visiting in Burlington, Iowa.
She is also survived by two sons, J.E. Mount of Memphis, Mo. and W.B. Mount of La Harpe, Ill. She was the grandmother of Mrs. Bert Seaman.” The Chillicothe Constitution, March 29, 1912
