Stanley graduated from MSU, and proudly served in the Army during World War II. He retired after a long career as an engineer for the City of Lansing Public Services.
He is survived by his children, Tom (Pam) Curtis and Bill (Cathy Fields) Curtis; daughter-in-law, Maryanne Curtis; grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark) VanderVeen, Kevin (Jamie) Curtis, Dustin Curtis, and Kira Curtis; 6 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Jackie Rydman; and brother-in-law, Jim (Carol) Wingerter.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Lois E. (Wingerter) Curtis; son, Scott Curtis; and brother, Bob Curtis.
The funeral service was held on Friday, March 25, 2016, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Entombment followed in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
