The remains of Mr Wm T Harper, who died at his home at Jumping Branch on Saturday morning, were laid to rest near the late home on Sunday afternoon.
Mr Harper was stricken with paralysis while hauling a load of fodder on Dec 16, and was found in an unconscious condition a few hours later and taken to his home where a physician was called, and it was thought that he would recover, but he gradually grew worse until the end came.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Misses Lucinda, Elvira and May, and five sons, Lee and Grover of Jumping Branch, Burton, of Arkansas, Hobert, of Raleigh and Karl, who is with the colors in France.
Mr Harper was 64 years of age and was a member of the Methodist church. He was an excellent citizen and will be greatly missed in that vicinity where he has resided for a number of years.
