Graveside service for Charles Leonard Hudson, 79, of Decatur will be Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, at 3 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with Bro. Carl Smallwood officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Hudson, who died Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, at Decatur General Hospital, was born May 13, 1927, in Decatur to William and Maude McElyea Hudson. He was a retired pharmacist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce McCaghren Hudson; brothers, Johnnie Hudson, Vernon Hudson, Lawrence Hudson, Ernest Nathan Hudson and Clarence Hudson; and sisters, Ruby Holder, Margaret Stough and Virginia Vinson.
Survivors include one son, Charles Hudson of Decatur; one daughter, Janice Hudson Barbin of Decatur; one brother, Willis Hudson of Decatur; two sisters, Opal Cox of Atlanta and Rose Edwards of Athens; three grandsons, Robert Grant of Auburn, Linn Standridge of Madisonville, La., and Brandon Hudson of Decatur; and two great-granddaughters, Amelia Standridge of Madisonville, and Alexa Hudson of Decatur.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
