Cintilla Pearl (Carney) Barnette, 89 of Rockcastle passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Ravenswood Care Center following a long illness.

She was born November 27, 1926 at Given, WV, a daughter of the late George and Bessie Gardner Carney. She retired as a school cook at Kenna Elementary School with 25 years of service, was a member of the Kenna Grange and along with her husband enjoyed farming an gardening. She attended the Moss Chapel Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Clyde O. Barnette; a sister, Opal Riffee and brothers Arlie, Dencil and Duane Carney.

She is survived by daughters Linda Quillen and Nancy Darlene (Gary) Elkins; sons Daniel C. (Sandra) Barnette and Jearl D. (Sharon) Barnette; grandchildren Kimberly Quillen, Cindy (Mike) Quillen-Morrison, Adena Barnette, Ashley (Justin) Heindl, Landon (Ashley) Barnette, Christopher Matthew (Amanda) Elkins, Andrea Reneau and Drew Barnette and step granddaughter Kasondra (Kraig) Margroff; great grandchildren Morgan E. Quillen, Joah Heindl, Huck and Harlow Reneau, Jase Heindl, Adelyn Heindl, Ryan Elkins, Carson Barnette, Violet Barnette and Lukas Gabriel Margroff and two great-great grandchildren, Lilee Morgan Casto and Michael Asher Casto.

Funeral Service will be At 11:00 am, Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Burial will be in the Moss Chapel Cemetery, Given. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the Funeral Home.

Donation in memory of Cintilla may be made to the Moss Chapel Cemetery.
