Patricia Mary Marx, age 87, of Janesville, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at St. Mary's Janesville Hospital. She was born in Madison, WI on Feb. 10, 1929, the daughter of Matthias and Augusta (Baur) Mueller. She graduated from Janesville High School in 1948, and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Milton College in 1952, with a triple major in Political Science, History and English. She married Paul W. Marx in St. William Catholic Church on Dec. 26, 1959. Her first teaching assignment was in Cashton, WI where she taught high school Political Science and History. She later taught high school English in Plainfield before returning to Janesville where she taught fourth grade at St. John Vianney Catholic School while serving as an interim principal. Years later she taught a section of English at Blackhawk Technical College in Janesville. She enjoyed writing poetry, reading, antiquing "junk shops" and fishing at Yellowstone Lake and in Dryden Ontario, Canada. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH with Rev. Sanctus Ibe officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the CHURCH. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY is assisting the family.
