A wonderful neighbor to the community where she lived, Lucy was an accomplished seamstress and crafter. She won many blue ribbons at the state fair for her beautiful needlework. Lucy devoted her life to her children and grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart.
Lucy is survived by her four children (and spouses), Donna Wilson and husband, Johnny of Minden, Dawne Scott of Minden, Melvin R. Lewis Jr. and wife, Candy of Vivian and Dana Lewis also of Minden. She leaves 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Lucy is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Anna Key of Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Shannon L. Sampson; her sister, Dorthea Gurnsey; and her parents, Ruby and Jimmie Key.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 17 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 211 Murrell Street, Minden.
