Georgia Smith Hale was born April 6, 1925 in Jackson County, KY. She departed this life March 22, 2016, being 90 years, 11 months and 16 days.

She was a member of the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church and willingly shared her faith in her savior, Jesus Christ. She was a beautician, an avid gardener, and quilter. She took great joy in her home and family.

She is survived by her children, Ronnia Hale Wells and husband Jimmy of Annville, KY, Michael Hale and wife Neeta of Calvert City, KY and daughter in law Charolotte Hale of London, KY.

She is also by 4 grandchildren, Greg Wells, Stephanie Wells Thomas and husband Bryan, Patrick Hale and wife Shelley, Corey Bynum and wife Allison and 10 great grandchildren, Allison Thomas, Chloe Thomas, Elijah Thomas, Ashleigh Hale, Ava Hale, Georgia Ann Hale, Mahaley Hale, Taylor Bynum, Zac Bynum and Hadley Bynum and one sister Curtie Smith McQueen of Tyner.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ronnie "Ike" Hale, son Gary Hale, two grandsons, Henry Hale and Chris Bynum, her parents, Chester & Lena Callahan Smith, four brothers, Vernon Smith, John Smith, Fred Smith, David Smith, and two sisters, Alpha Mae Smith Blair and Irene Smith Wilson.

Funeral service 2:00PM Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Farmer and Bro. Bryan Thomas officiating. Burial followed in the Wilson Cemetery. Pallbearers were Greg Wells, Patrick Hale, Cory Bynum, Bobby Hale, Jr. Hale, John McQueen, Cliff McQueen, Gene McQueen, Chester Smith and Freddy Smith.
