Henry Bolden Butler, 89, left this world to be with his Heavenly Father on March 22, 2016.

Henry was born on August 22, 1926 in Dozier, Alabama to the late Oscar and Maude Butler.

He proudly served his country in both World War II and the Korean War. Henry also loved being an honored member of the Loyal Order of the Moose where he was an active member for 34 years, serving as Governor of the Canton, GA Lodge for 10 years.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian Mooney Butler, one sister Tensie Beam and children, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Redmond (Brenda), Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Fricks (Beverly), Mr. and Mrs. David Butler (Cindy), Ed Butler, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Houlihan (Kaye) and Mr. and Mrs. Rick Helms (Krista), thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

A memorial service celebrating Henry’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 29th at eleven o’clock am. The family will receive friends prior to the memorial service which will be held at the Catholic Church of the Transfiguration located at 1815 Blackwell Road, Marietta, GA.

Interment will be at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia, at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29th.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Henry’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org.
