Mr. Pierce was born May 14, 1963, in Hazel Park, MI, son of Sara Johnson and the late Ralph Pierce. He was employed with Mount Vernon Mills. He was also a veteran of the United States Army and the National Guard, having served for 12 years. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rhonda Sue Rogers; and great-niece, Alexis Evans.
Mr. Pierce is survived by his mother, Sara Johnson of Teloga, GA; sons, Taylor Lee Pierce of Honolulu, HI, and Ryan Thomas Pierce of Dalton, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Belinda and Bob Smith of Summerville, GA, Tammie and Tony Blackmon of LaFayette, GA, Linda Dale and Billy Johnson of Summerville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Debra Camp of Albany, GA. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Pierce will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 25, 2016, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Westmoreland and Rev. Jake Morrison officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Edgeworth, Elijah Smith, Erick Wilson, Ryan Pierce, Kenny King, Josh Rogers, Justin Rogers, and Joseph Wilson.
Mr. Pierce will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, March 24, 2016.
