WALNUT - Joyce J. Burrow, 73, died Saturday, July 28, 2007, at the Magnolia Hospital. She was born Oct. 16, 1933, in Hardeman County, Tenn., to Guy W. and Julie Willingham Wilbanks. She was a homemaker and a factory worker for ITT. She was married to Earnest Lavoid Burrow for 52 years. She was a member of Christ Temple Apostolic Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Christ Temple Apostolic Church in Walnut with Bro. Clay Hall and Bro. Gary Porterfield. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Corinthian Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest Lavoid Burrow; two sons, Billy Burrow (Shelia) of Pocahontas, Tenn., and Ricky Burrow of Walnut; five daughters, Billie Sue Miles (Eric) and Polly Martin (Aaron), all of Walnut, Brenda Pittman (Rickey) of Corinth, Loretta Sweeton (John) and Karlene Brown (Jackie) all of Pocahontas, Tenn.; three sisters, Velma Foster, Mildred Bass (Gene) and Thelma Reid, all of Walnut; 24 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Julie Wilbanks; a grandchild, Kendall Dewayne Burrow; her sisters, Leslie Bass, Elvie Wilbanks and Irene Rutherford; and her brothers, Little Joe Wilbanks, Johnny Wilbanks and Troy Wilbanks.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Pittman, Dwyane Gay, Kevin Burrow, Jonathan Sweeton, Chad Sweeton and Aaron Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Mercer and Terry "Duck" Mills.
Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the church.
