SCHMIDT, Jerry 73, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2016. He was born on January 19, 1943, the son of the late Robert and Rose (Stowe) Schmidt. Jerry is survived by two cousins, Sondra Rowe of Arlington, Texas and Deborah Cass of Centerville, Ohio. Jerry was a proud veteran in the United States Air Force and worked for many years at Good Samaritan Behavioral Health. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016 from 6-8p.m. at JACKSON LYTLE & LEWIS LIFE CELEBRATION CENTER. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 11:30a.m. at Ferncliff Cemetery. Pastor Kevin Moehn officiating.
