The funeral of Mr. Aikens of Montreal, formerly of Hespeler and Puslinch, brother of William Aikens of Puslinch, was held on Monday, August 23 1925 from St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, which Mr. Aikens attended when a resident of the district, to Hespeler Cemetery. Rev. J. L. Small of St. George officiated. He was a native of Puslinch, having been born in that township. Mr. Aikens was an old Hespeler boy and many attended the funeral to pay their last respects. He was in his 66th year. The pallbearers were William Bulger, George Paddock, John Gilchrist, William Gilchrist, Alex Smith and Donald McCaig. He leaves his one brother, William; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Long of Hamilton; Mrs. Jane Krueger and Mrs. John Kellerman of Guelph; and Mrs. Martha Brown of Waterdown.
