Katherine E. Landis, 91, passed away March 19, 2016, in Pueblo, CO. She was born July 13, 1924, in Dawson, New Mexico, to George and Mary Butorac; and resided in Pueblo. Katherine graduated from Huerfano County High. She was preceded in death by her father and mother; her husband of 69 years, Rudolph Landis; brothers, Steve, Jack and Tony (Dorothy) Butorac; sisters, Josephine Welch, Margaret (Anthony) Garza and Helen Butorac. She is survived by her son, Rudie (Gloria) Landis; daughter, Georgia (Louis) Sciortino; three grandchildren, Mandy (Ryan) Taylor, Thomas Sciortino, Jeff Sciortino; one great-grandchild; sisters, Ann Ellison and special sister and friend Rosemary Butorac; special friend Pat Rampa; also many nieces and nephews. Kaye enjoyed family, needle work, arrowhead hunting, dancing and going to Cripple Creek. She was a member of Holy Family Church, ABWA, a member of the Eagles Auxiliary #145, and a Charter Member of the Elkettes #90 and Retired Eagles Activity. Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Holy Family Church. At Katherine's request, no viewing; cremation.
